Mr Moon wins a prize at the Mackay Art on Show Awards! Posted on 11 Oct 15:21
I am so excited that my reduction linocut, "Mr Moon - Luna Park Melbourne I" won the "Highly Commended" award for Works on Paper at the Art on Show Awards in Mackay!
Here is a photo of Mr Moon next to the judge, Traci Heathwood, complete with a red rosette (which is now pinned up in the studio!). There was also a cash prize, which I used to buy some new linocutting tools and a cheese platter!
While the original reduction linocuts of Mr Moon aren't available online, Mr Moon now comes in 3 standard sizes of giclee/digital prints, in 4 colour combinations (see here). The print can also be super-sized by special order - see the photo below, which shows me next to a really big reproduction.
