Little Creatures - Rabbit II
"Little Creatures - Rabbit" is an original, limited edition reduction linocut, which I have printed in 5 different colour schemes. There are only 20 Rabbit prints in total, and there are only 4 in this particular colour scheme which is called "Rabbit II".
This little rabbit is very happy with himself as he bounds along above the ground! My favourite things about this bunny are his contrasting nose, ear tips and tail tip - and the flower around his eye.
This print is part of a series of 4 Little Creatures linocuts. There is also a squirrel, a fennec fox and an antelope (you can see these if you select "Little Creatures" in the "Browse" dropdown box on the "Prints for Sale" page. Each Little Creature has the same leaf and flower pattern on its body, and each has a flower shape around its eyes. The leaf and flower pattern on the body of the Little Creatures is reflected in the ground below the creature, but in different colours. This represents the way we are all made up of the same things as the world around us.
Each Rabbit print has been through the press at least 3 times (once for each colour you can see in the print other than white) - and sometimes more, because if I'm not happy with a colour combination once I lift the paper off the lino, I will re-ink the block and do it again!
The Little Creatures prints look great by themselves, or together framed as a set of 2, 3 or 4 - either with different Little Creatures or with the same Little Creature in different colours. They look fantastic framed floating in a 30cm x 30cm white box frame (as shown in the photo).
**PLEASE NOTE - FRAME NOT INCLUDED** (the photo of the framed image is included to show you how the print looks framed!)

How are reduction linocuts created?
If you are interested in how these prints are created, I have described the print process for "Little Creatures - Squirrel", here.
Once these original reduction linocuts have been sold out, no further originals will be available for purchase.
- Each print is produced by hand, and has passed through the printing press multiple times to create the final image. As a result, all prints within an edition are unique, and your print may vary slightly from the images shown.
- The colours of the print may also vary slightly from what you see on the screen (as computer monitors may display colours differently)
- As the artist, I retain copyright in all works I produce. Copyright does not transfer upon sale.
